Just to say that I finally got round to watching the Packham interview and documentary and both are amazing. Thanks for your hard recommend!

Great newsletter - like the change of emphasis. IMHO, from a communications perspective I think it's important NOT to engage with Sunak's current bonfire of anti-green policies with any kind of logical argument. The frame needs to be shifted. Whether it's allowing oil drilling licenses (to help the cost of living crisis obvs), rolling back on 20 MPH zones or being the 'motorists' friend' - none of it makes sense and they know it. That's not the point. They want the green lobby and labour to froth at the mouth so they can then position themselves as being 'realistic about the state of Britain' and on the side of the struggling consumer. It's an election ploy and it might work - the tories will say anything to win and they're usually very good at winning. All of which is a roundabout way of saying that yes, it's time for drastic action and not more not facts and data - that won't convince anyone of anything.
